# Safe or Scam — crypto safety & data API for AI agents

> Pay-per-call tools: crypto token, website and wallet scam checks (red / yellow / green verdict with reasons), blockchain reads on 8 chains, web page to clean Markdown, and email address checks.

Payment: x402 (exact scheme, USDC on Base, eip155:8453) per call, or a prepaid key in X-API-Key (100 calls = $1, 500 = $4; 1 credit per call on any endpoint). 3 free calls per day on the GET versions and MCP.
POST endpoints are paid only: an unpaid request gets HTTP 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header (x402 v2). Bad input returns 400 before payment; failed fetches return 502 and are not charged.
